Comprising a basic survey, layout, ideas meeting, a master plan and planting plan.  Please click on the link below to learn more about this process.

Plant Planning for Existing Borders

This service usually requires a site visit.  I can create individual planting plans to:

  • re-vamp existing beds or borders.
  • design new beds and borders from scratch, large or small.

I will meet with you in your garden to discuss colours, plants and style preferences, maintenance expectations and inspect the soil and light qualities.  I then take this information away and devise planting schemes to suit your preferences, whilst staying true to the invaluable 'Right Plant Right Place' ethos.

Planting Plan fees vary depending on the size of the schemes and the level of service required.  An initial site visit appointment fee of £95 is payable at the time of booking.  Once the Plant Plan is agreed the £95 is later removed from the final Plant Plan invoice.                 Travel expenses apply over 20 miles.

Thereafter, I can usually provide quotations for supply of plants and organise their delivery.  If required I can prepare the planting beds, set-out the plants on site and plant them.

I can also offer annual, or more regular visits to monitor the progress of the plants, which helps maintain the integrity of the garden's design over time.   Annual maintenance schedules can be provided if required.

Advice for Existing Gardens

Advice for existing gardens involves a site visit.  I can advise on:

  • Soil health improvement.
  • Chemical-free and sustainable garden maintenance.
  • Improvements to existing planting.
  • Softening of existing hard landscaped areas.
  • Small alterations to layout to improve the look, feel and use of the space.

Site visits are usually around 90 minutes and charged at £95 (travel expenses apply over 20 miles).  My advice on the day will be verbal  (please have a notebook at the ready) and will be followed-up with an email detailing the key points that we agreed during our meeting.  More detailed written information, such as diagrams, instructions, or other hand-drawn plans can be undertaken and will incur a further fee to be agreed in advance.

Advice on Boosting Biodiversity

This service requires a site visit.  I offer a broad spectrum of practical tips, knowledge and advice on how to encourage wildlife to live, thrive and grow in your garden:

  • Habitat creation for invertebrates.
  • Rewilding areas within gardens.
  • Growing cover, food and nesting material for garden birds.
  • Increasing native plant species and non-native but beneficial plant species.
  • Native hedgerows, large or small.
  • Permanent and ephemeral ponds for wildlife.
  • Winter/spring food plants for hungry emerging pollinators.

The format and fee for this advice is the same as for 'Advice on Existing Gardens', detailed in the section above.
